Lines in warm and elegant hues decorate this modern design by Miriam and Debora from Guatemala. Made with cotton and traditional techniques by local artisans, this cushion cover displays a sophisticated aura thanks to its striped embroidered details crafted on an ivory base hue. Accented with tassels on each corner, the piece also has an opening on the back for handy use.

The district of Guaitil in Costa Rica is renowned for its pottery made from natural mineral pigments locally known as curioles. This material is applied on paper by artist Magda Cordoba along with watercolor to create a stunning abstract painting that is part of her "Lands of my Land" series inspired by her country's traditions and history. "Making these works of art I find the union between body, spirit and matter," says the artist.

"The Infinity Series comes from an investigation that started in 2020. Seeing what the world was experiencing at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic made me reflect on health problems I've had my whole life as a result of a traffic accident. From uncertainty and pain then comes rebirth and a shift in the way of seeing life and understanding that it is just an instant and that only the present counts," says Costa Rican artist Magda Cordoba of her collection of abstract paintings crafted with natural mineral pigments and watercolor on paper. This painting in black, grey and gold is part of this series and features a cardboard mat and a foamboard base.

Artist Magda Cordoba pays homage to her native Costa Rica both in form and substance with this splendid abstract painting. Her "Lands of My Land" series honors her country's history and traditions as a concept but also regarding materials because she crafts the painting by applying on paper watercolor and the natural mineral pigments typically used in the pottery made in the district of Guaitil.
