Fatia is a name bestowed upon female children of the Ashanti people in northern Ghana. Hannah Dodoo crafts this set of a tote bag and three accessory cases from abright print, the vivid designs representative of the symbolic kente cloth of the Ashanti culture. Geometric patterns clash in tones of blue and yellow, red and green, resulting in an attractive complement for casual attire.

The tote bag features a convenient cinch cord, while the three accessory cases close by means of a sturdy zipper. Ideal for storing makeup, sunglasses, pens and pencils, and loose change.

Share your hospitality with friends and family with this set of four napkin rings from Ghana. Designed and crafted by K. Baka, each ring is made of recycled plastic that is covered with traditional kente print cotton fabric.

Bright colors and busy patterns intended to resemble African kente cloth decorate this eye-catching shoulder bag designed by Michael Butler. Crafted from 100% cotton, the bag stuns in brilliant hues of kelly green, marigold, and ultramarine. The bag features a black cotton lining with one open pocket and a zipper closure. The artisan adds two short straps for carrying on your arm and a longer strap for slinging across your shoulder, both in vegan leather.

A colorful cotton print depicts Ghana's traditional Edwene Asa kente design. The phrase means "all motifs are used up" in the Akan language, indicating the number of different patterns combined in this one. Each color in kente cloth has its own meanings in Asante culture. Green is fertility and new harvest, gold is royalty, black is strength, aging and spirituality, and white is purity.

Justina Botwey uses the fabric to craft a pair of beautiful contoured face masks. Lined in solid white, both are double-layered, washable and reusable, with elastic loops to slip over the ears. "To me, the combination of colors in this kente design indicates that, despite our differences, we are still one people," the artisan affirms.

The position of individual prints and colors will vary but the fabric will remain the same.
