I ordered this hat for a niece and another in a different color for her sister. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the hat as well as the fantastic packaging it came in. I carefully unwrapped it to inspect the hat, and then wrapped it right back up in the packaging it came in. I will gift them as is to the girls. Everything about the hat and the packaging screams heirloom quality. I plan to send the information about the artisan to them as well. I am so impressed with the entire experience. Blue baby alpaca hat for her baby blues

I bought this as a gift for my wife. She requested an alpaca hat - in blue - to match a blue coat she had. I doubted if one was available, but went looking. I needed dimension specs, as she needs something fairly large. Does she like it?: "I love my beautiful new hat! The denim color is rich, and the baby alpaca fibers are so soft -- those who find other wool itchy enjoy relief with alpaca. The hat's design adds to its beauty, with panels of one stitch alternating with bands of another stitch -- this helps create comfortable grip that keeps the masterful stitching aligned when the hat is worn. Also, the hat has no seam, which adds to the comfort and appearance. I love the little floral finish, too, and appreciate that the larger size is available (for those of us outside the "one size fits all" zone). Lovely winter hat

My new hat is so soft, airy-light and comfortable (and not at all tight) that I now know alpaca wool is nothing like the wool I am used to. What a delightful way to keep warm! I also love the way it sits on the head, softly falling back. I am so pleased.
