hand crochet hat

My new hat is so soft, airy-light and comfortable (and not at all tight) that I now know alpaca wool is nothing like the wool I am used to. What a delightful way to keep warm! I also love the way it sits on the head, softly falling back. I am so pleased.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. She requested an alpaca hat - in blue - to match a blue coat she had. I doubted if one was available, but went looking. I needed dimension specs, as she needs something fairly large. Does she like it?: "I love my beautiful new hat! The hat is called "Fun Forest" and the combination of various colors, several greens, a light blue and brown, all make you think of a forest. It is fun because it is so cute, with the brown pompoms and the long tail coming out of the top. It is very well made and very thick and truly is a gorgeous hat and I love it. It is also very, very warm. Just the perfect hat for a cold winter day! I plan to order more hats from this artisan for sure.
