Thailand's arts and magnificence decorate Pang and Ni's newest creation, made for those environments with a glamorous aura. Applying advanced woodworking techniques to a sturdy mango wood piece, the team handcrafts this round decorative box. After polishing the surface, their creative side emerges with an intricate pattern of classic motifs in a palette of red, blue and purple hues, topped with little beads tied to the lid with a waxed cotton cord.

The natural richness of the Costa Rican rainforest marvels many around the world, obtaining the recognition of "Paradise on Earth." As those divine landscapes are inhabited by wondrous species, artisan Ruth Guevara creates a sublime magnet collection, capturing the life in the woods.

The process starts with a round pinewood piece, polished for a lustrous look and equipped with a magnet. Ruth uses the sturdy structure as a base, completing it with a tender guaria flower entirely made from cold porcelain and painted by hand in purple, showing the sweet side of the jungle.

Carving mango wood into spheres, Nantana Sompamitre creates a pair of delightful boxes. A violet motif adorns their smooth, lacquered surfaces. Sompamitre carves the desired shape and coats it with lacquer. Once dried it is polished, and another coat is applied – up to twenty times – before as many six coats of pure lacquer are present. The final layer is polished with powdered fired clay. Then the motifs are etched with a technique called lai kad (dug-out pattern) and painted.

Sublime colors and a spring-inspired pattern transform this decorative box into an homage to ancient and luxurious times. Artisan Fida Hussain creates the piece from weeping willow wood, which he decorates with hand-painted accents and a polished finish. The interior is lined with faux velvet, allowing practical use.
