Weaving is an ancient tradition in the Andes, and handloomed Inca textiles were once more highly prized than gold. Carrying on the legacy, Eliazar Ochoa creates an intricate tapestry of dazzling beauty. His motifs are inspired by ancient Andean art, executed in a woolen palette of glowing warmth.

Wonderfully realistic, a semi truck comes to life as Armando Ramírez recycles castoff cycle parts and discarded bits of metal. Sheet metal becomes the sturdy bumper and production chains, the grille. A refrigerator motor provides the cab, while timing chains and a motorcycle traction piece become seats. Wire, screws and die-cut scraps all ingeniously fulfill distinct roles.

Ramírez does not give his sculptures a fine polished finish, therefore smudges and scratches may be present.

Peru's Rios Family artisans are proud to offer this example of their remarkable leather work. Made of mohena wood and richly hand-tooled leather with a grape and bird motif and brass studs, its design is inspired by intricate saddlework of the colonial era.

The art of the Inca adorns this splendid ottoman, in its sumptuous tooled leather by the Ríos Family of Peru. Supported by fine tornillo wood legs, the leather seat is attached to the frame with ornate brass studs.

A single marguerite daisy flaunts petals of pristine purity in this lovely flower study. To the left, abstract foliage suggest stained glass on a sunny afternoon while red and yellow convey summer's warmth. Sylvia Fournier creates an enchanted vision of Costa Rica with this mixed media painting. She calls her technique "photo art," digitally printing one of her original photographs on canvas, then painting over parts of it with acrylics, pastels, chalk and marking pens. The result is beautiful.

Carved by hand of tornillo wood, this extraordinary chair showcases the Ríos Family's skill and dedication. Floral medallions recall colonial splendor, while the arms end in lion's heads, a symbol of royalty. The seat is crafted of tooled leather, applied with bronze studs.
