An admirable collage of Indian stamps featuring famous personalities, monuments and animals covers the front of two cotton cushion covers. From Asha Prabha, each cover features digital prints of original stamps, from left to right and starting from the top, a Government of India stamp, Mahatma Gandhi regarded as father of the nation, and Subash Chandra Bose who fought against British rule. At the center there is a stamp with an Asoka pillar featuring three lions, and around it is also Leon Tolstoy, Bismillah Khan playing the shehnai and Munshi Premchand, the foremost Hindustani writer of the 20th century.

The printed images are given an antique look to retain their originality. The backs of the covers are solid white, and the lower seam hides the zipper.

Designed by Shashi Sehgal, these lovely pillow shams tell a story of ancient life in India. Herders guided their flocks to graze in lush grasslands bordering the Thar Desert. For coverlets, the women created quilts of layered fabric, stitched by hand in a technique known as gudri-making or hand quilting. These quilted pillow shams are created in the same way of cotton voile.

The motifs are created with block prints, applied by hand in blue on ivory. Neat rows of flowers represent the unbroken lineage of tradition handed down over generations. Finished with piping, the edges are scalloped and the stitching is done by hand.

A zipper at the bottom of the shams opens them to insert the cushions.

Wonderfully soft throw that looks great too.

Fabulous product. Unbelievably soft and luxurious. My wife is in love with this throw and cuddles up with it on the sofa during the evenings. She is always cold and this throw provides her with the warmth she is looking for, as well as its incredibly soft feel. A truly great find. Many thanks.

This Alpaca Throw was purchased as a gift for my Mom-in-Law. She said that the Throw is so soft and cozy that she just wants to keep her shoulders wrapped into it. Very happy that she loves it.
