Snake Themed Wood Gift Collection from Bali and Java

I was struck by the design and theme of this item looking at it on the Novica website. I ordered it and was even more impressed viewing it at home. The detail is amazing. Every cut is perfect. To me this item represents power and beauty. It is a wonderful addition to my art collection.

I purchased this coiled snake as well as the cobra wooden sculpture and I am so glad I did! I have never seen such craftsmanship in a wood carving. These snakes look as though they required intense labor and incredible mastering of the wood carving craft. I walk by them many times during my normal day and each time I look at them and am in awe at the presence they elude...at times I find it unbelievable that someone could carve with such realism, such complexity, and with a beauty that was given to these creatures by our creator as only he/she could do...

Purchased as a gift for a friend. I am sure she is going to LOVE it! It looks better in person than it does in the pictures. Seems very sturdy as it's one solid piece of wood. I will definately consider buying additional items both from this site and by this artist!
