I loved reading about the Ekeko fable, and this figurine is the perfect Ekeko. He is colorful, has a woven hat and lots and lots of presents. Most enjoyable and fun to look at. And, he indeed looks very jolly and makes me smile!
The San Andres Xecul Angel that soars in the parlor of my nineteenth century row house in Baltimore reminds me to be kind to strangers and the homeless man who crosses your path for you may be entertaining angels unawares.
If you like Catrina’s, you’ll love this one. I’m a collector of different types of Catrina’s. I wasn’t sure if I would like it as much as the others, the style is quite different BUT I love it. She’s nicely made and came in great shape. I like this Artist so I bought 2 others!
