Native raintree wood is used to create this pleasant little smiling frog by Jaifah Aksornsri. Using techniques passed down to her by her parents, the artisan finishes the instrument naturally, which accentuates the natural grain of the wood. A rod is included as part of the design, and can be used to create a fun, frog-like croaking sound when rubbed against the back of the frog as a percussion instrument. The Tenasserim frog is a species native to Southern Thailand.
