memory box

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift and she loves the jewelry box. it is well made and is a lovely design with tooled leather. We retired from the US to Oaxaca several years ago but still remain Novica customers and usually receive shipments without issues. One issue however is if you are planning to ship this piece to Mexico expect a delay for the delivery due to new 2025 Mexican Customs Regulations for inspecting wooden products. Mexican Customs finally released the product but it took more than three weeks for them to do so. FedEx informed me there would be a $200 peso inspection fee but I was ultimately not charged the fee by Customs. I don't know if this is common practice since the Mexican Custom requirement for wooden items is new and confusing.

I didn't need a jewelry box yet I fell in love with Julio Sanchez' work and had to have it. It is gorgeous! I think I will use it to store sacred items for my spiritual practice. To Julio Sanchez, you are so talented and the love and attention you have put into this wood and leather creation is appreciated and felt. This item exceed all expectations that I had. It's a thing of beauty, it bigger than expected (which is a good thing), the craftsmanship is superb, and one of the best anniversary gifts I could have ever purchased. Arrival was timely and it came in perfect condition. My husband loves it and so do I. I will definitely be back on the site looking for this craftsman's work.
