Against a background of solid teal, colorful and vibrant floral motifs are hand-embroidered onto this wool headband. Created by Alicia Huaman, this headband is woven by hand on a traditional loom. An elastic band allows this headband to fit comfortably.

These two-headed birds are part of the pre-Hispanic iconography of highland Peru ane exemplify the ancient people's concept of duality. They precise motifs grace two wool cushion covers, handwoven by Zosimo Laura. The reverse side is solid espresso brown with a button opening for inserting the cushions.
