Commemorating Buddha's life and lessons, the Vesak celebration is held every year with a series of ceremonies based on long meditations that help devotees' souls learn from the ancient sage. Inspired by this traditional event, Bali's Dewa Putra creates a handy set featuring 18 incense sticks with frangipani, ylang-ylang and sandalwood scents that will help your mind enter the spiritual realm. The sticks also come in a convenient black box with a Buddha-themed ceramic holder in a blue hue, adding a classic touch.

Four equal panels of albesia wood are joined together by hinges to create the panel on which Dewa Semadi's design group paints this portrait of Buddha. Here, the Buddha enters a peaceful meditative state, as indicated by the mark of enlightenment on his forehead.

On a red-hot background, Aricadia in Bali paints Gautama Buddha in rich detail, illuminating the spiritual teacher with cool blues and greens. "If you turn on the light for someone, it will also brighten your path and the world will be light too," the artist says of his painting. "Because the love that radiates spreads like a virus of kindness that spreads without limits."
